rabbits, cats, dogs, wood working, photography,

CHICK FLICKS
Grab
a movie, a few ingredients for some tasty recipes and your friends. Chick
Flicks makes it easy to create a comfortable atmosphere where we can gather
around a great movie, eat, laugh, and then comfortably discuss the movie’s
spiritual implications. These evenings are book lead so the movies are picked,
discussion questions are provided, and they have also provided menu suggestions
and many more ideas.
This ministry will be hosted by an individual, or a team of 2, every month
(except December) and the hostess can pick her movie, the date (Friday, Saturday
or Sunday), time and where we will meet, either at St. Paul or at someone’s
home. We will prepare certain parts of the meal together, watch the movie and
hold the discussion. Please see Sign-up Central and sign-up to host your
movie.
We are looking for someone to facilitate this ministry, about 1hour a month.
If you are interested, please see Denise or Rachel.

Fun stuff we do
yearly by month:
January:
- Confirmation Luncheon - our youth gather together to share
sermon notes and enjoy fellowship with other members and
family. Each family brings something to share.
- Council Retreat – The new council and old council meet to
discuss new business for coming year and go over accomplishments
from the past year.
February:
- Souper Bowl Sunday - The congregation enjoys many soups and
present the donation of soup cans for the Lutheran Food Bank on
South Oakley. Families bring salads/desserts, soda and breads.
February 3, 2008:
A big THANK YOU to all who
donated canned soup. The Youth won back their reign by
collecting 419 cans to the Adult's 268.
Who really won were the families
that receive this soup at the Sullivant Avenue Food Pantry. We
also passsed on the $73.00 that was given in the free will
offering during the Souper Bowl Luncheon. Great food and good
fellowship were shared by all who attended. THANK YOU for
making our Sunday School service project a Souper success!
- Boy Scout Sunday - Our scouts are honored at the service.
- Sweetheart Dinner – Couples and solos enjoy a romantic dinner
and fellowship.
- Lenten dinners beginning at 6:00. Members and guests come and
enjoy fellowship and dinner before evening services at 7:00.
