Summer Sunday
School is held from June through the first weekend of September, during the 9
o’clock hour. Location and format vary each summer. Watch your bulletin for
more information on this year’s Summer Sunday School and how you can help.

Morning Options

Scripture Study - Students work through a
selected book of the Bible and share their insights and questions, led by the
class. Meets in the multi-purpose room during the Sunday School hour.

Luke's
Gospel and is titled God and Christian Community.

Vacation Bible School is a
week of special education during the summer for the whole church, but mainly
focuses on elementary youth.

WAYS TO BE INVOLVED in the Sunday
School Ministries
You can be a
part of our education program by participating in one of these events:

Operation STARFISH- a service project that
provides food, housing, medicine, and medical supplies for the poor in the
Caribbean and Latin America. More than 95 cents of every dollar goes to the
program.
·
Souper Bowl- Join the contest that pits the
adults against the youth in who can collect the most soup for Lutheran Social
Services food pantries. The contest concludes with a soup lunch on Super Bowl
Sunday. Everyone's a winner in this game!
·
Become a Ministry Participant: Give your time
being a teacher, teacher's helper, administrative assistant, helper with
special events such as youth worship service, summer Sunday School, the
Christmas program, or becoming involved in the puppet ministry. Full training
and support by a loving staff is provided. MINIMAL time commitment- MAXIMUM
return on investment.
